This is an amazing value for quality South African wine. Excelsior uses strict vineyard practices to ensure a healthy, well ripened crop, and chemicals are used very sparingly thanks to the dry Robertson climate. The grapes are picked by hand, and 40% of the total wine is aged in a mixture of French and American oak for a period of 9-months.
