This wine is made in a really special area of Chianti, only a few miles from the beaches called Maremma. Most of the wines from Maremma are expensive and highly regarded, but there are a few producers that have settled in its southern province of Grosetto and have been able to keep their prices extremely reasonable... i.e. this one.
