Widely considered the benchmark winemaker of the Rheingau region of Germany, August Kessler took over his family vineyards in the late 1970s and has since passed down production to a new generation of German winemakers. Coincidentally, Kessler spends a large portion of his time in Chicago where he works on supporting his wines throughout the country. Riesling R is an entry level Riesling made with grapes grown on steep vineyards with slate, limestone and quartz soils which create an off-dry, thirst quenching Riesling. Germany 2016 | 10.0% ABV
