Both of these wines represent a Bordeaux blend of grapes that uses primarily Cabernet and Merlot grapes. First up is Ridge, a bottle from California's famous vineyard, Monte Bello. This bottle became wine royalty in the 1970s when it beat out a bunch of French Bordeaux in a blind tasting in Paris. The second bottle is Respide-Medeville. Coming out of France's Bordeaux region, the maker of this wine is one of the premier up-and-coming producers in the country.
