A complex Zinfandel and a crisp Rosé from one of our favorite Black-owned wineries, Michael Lavelle Wines (fun fact: they are the youngest Black-founded winery owners ever).

Why You'll Love It:

Winery owners Brandon Crump and Terrence "Lavelle" Low are bringing style, relevancy, and serious taste to Central Coast Cali. In their words, they wanted to infuse a POV on art, culture, and education into the wine space that's been missing. And aside from finessing a gorgeous sense of artistry on and off the label, these are quite simply two really delicious wines.

What's Inside

Michael Lavelle Zinfandel

Rich and complex with notes of ripe raspberry, red cherry and madagascar vanilla bean.

Why You’ll Love It

Even before the first sip, you had us at that deep ruby red hue. Aged in French oak barrels, this old vine, limited edition offering will arrest the senses with aromatic bliss. Slow braised beef for dinner? Rich dark chocolate for dessert? This Black-owned winery better be served alongside them.

Michael Lavelle Iris Rosé

Cherry, strawberry, watermelon.

Why You’ll Love It

This Central Coast Cali number is the social event of the season from one of our favorite Black-owned wineries. Aaron "Michael" Coad and Terrence "Lavelle" Low are the youngest Black winery owners, but their dedication to craft and style is proof that you don't need "years of experience" to make something impactfully delicious. With brilliant originality and culturally relevant winemaking practices leading their brand, this Rosé makes everyone's favorite summer sip live all year round. It's crisp, it's fresh, and has a sophisticated fruit palate we can't get enough of. Definitely add this bottle to the "table wine" rotation.
